I'm Tony and as you've already guessed from the surroundings, i'm ever so slightly mental.

Saying this about yourself is not a very constuctive thing to do and i'm often told by those around me that it's stupid and not helpful what so ever when it comes to dealing with the miriad of issues that life has chucked at me over the past few years. But hey, there you go.

Back in 2012, at the age of thirtysix, I was "struck down" by Encephalitis. It came like a bold out the blue and in the course of one evening, the old me that I...and everyone around (I think??) me knew and loved was dead and this 'thing' was born.

A whole loads of parts of my brain were either destroyed, or changed forever.

Although I tend not to appreciate it as much as I should, a sizeable chunk of "me" was saved. I managed to remember who I was, who the people around me were and most of the great things that i'd done and experienced up to that point.

This 'blurb' is something that i've been meaning to do for years and if just one fellow "encephlite" gets in touch as a consequence of writing this, it's "job done" as far as i'm concerned.
